RUN Barnstaple Final Mile Challenge

I'm running miles to raise smiles!

I'm planning to run 12 miles at school and join the final mile at Rock Park on Sunday 27 September as part of RUN Barnstaple!

Please help me reach my target of £30 to help babies, children and young peoiple and their families across the South West.
  • £5 could buy the ingredients for a birthday cake to make memories that last a lifetime
  • £10 could pay for paints and materials for arts and crafts - helping children and young people express how they feel in creative ways
  • £30 could help fund a Music Therapy session to help children and young people to express their thoughts and feelings

Mias big walk inspired by buddy the bear

If you know me and my 5-year-old daughter, Mia, you know that running is absolutely not our thing. In fact, we don’t run... ever!But last week, something special happened. A giant, friendly bear named Buddy the Bear came into Mia's school assembly to talk about the RUN Barnstaple Final Mile Challenge.Mia was so completely charmed by the mascot and inspired by the assembly that she came home absolutely determined to join in. Even though she hasn't done the typical training miles at school, she is so keen to lace up her trainers and take part this Sunday.She is taking on the grand finale at Rock Park. Whether she jogs, skips, or walks the entire mile, I am so incredibly proud of her big heart and her determination to help other children
We are raising funds for Children's Hospice South West to support the vital work they do for local families.
